A movie extra is a person who fills up the background of a movie or TV show when the cameras are filming different scenes. Movie extra parts are usually non-speaking roles, but be prepared to say “Excuse me,” “Thank you,” or point “Over there.” Mostly you stand around the main actors so the movie scenes look real. It is not a hard acting job, but it can still be very exciting, especially if you like being around famous people and being a part of the entertainment industry.
Being a movie extra is also a great way to start you or your kids off in the entertainment industry. Casting directors are looking for all types of people, young and old, big or small. No matter how old you are, there are casting calls for movie extras. You can get movie extra work anytime and is available to everyone. Generally, we are always taking submissions for extras.
